It's been quite a while since the last time we've posted here. Life has brought a lot of changes...all good.

We're back in Oakley and absolutely loving it. This town has held our hearts for a few years now, and we're so excited to be back in the area we've loved for so long.

I (Matt), am working at Epipheo and have to pinch myself everyday. It's such an amazing, creative place and I feel so blessed to be able to do the kind of work I get to do now.

With that, I'm also playing occasionally playing music with Joe Dunlap. You need to get his album....I promise you will not be disappointed!

Lanna is still nannying for the same family and it's amazing. So thankful to have amazing kids she can invest in. What she does is amazing and I'm truly proud to call her my wife!

Together, we've been trying to be more active in our church community, Red Door. Lanna's been heading up a lot of the Kid's ministry stuff and I've been playing drums a little bit and volunteering my graphic/design skills. We couldn't ask for a more amazing family to be apart of!

That's really all that's gone on (in a very, very, very broad nutshell). I thought I'd leave with you some pictures to check out! We'd love to hear from you! SO please let us know what you've been up to for the past year ;)

I've decided to relaunch lotties heart with a new focus and a new attitude. I've spent the past few weeks praying like crazy about what God wants me to do with this and I'm REALLY excited and inspired about the form it's starting to take. Right now we're in the process of moving, and once the craziness of that dies down I'm going to jump into some art work and will be reopening my etsy store, and starting fresh with my lotties heart blog. I have LOTS of ideas and am pretty much bursting at the seam to get the ball rolling, but for now I get all my ducks in a row. Matt will most likely absorb all the prints from our shop into his solo shop, and beardedlady will close. We're both excited about the possibilities!

That's all : )
I thought I would donate a couple paintings I did. I did part of this a while back but when I pulled it out tonight I suddenly got inspired to add to it. So I whipped something up real quick and I'm really happy w/ how it turned out. I'm not an actual artist or anything, but I still really like it and hope it speaks to whoever see's it hanging in the youths worship space. It's inspired by 1 Corinthians 13:7.
I think I'm going to make another in different colors to hang over our bed, because this verse gives me hope in the truth that love really does win when Jesus is at the center of it. I just had Matt type the words out for me in photoshop because I'm lame and can't do it myself, and then I cut them out, ran the edge of the scissors along the edges of the paper to rough them up, and then I melted golf wax and used it to adhere the paper to the canvas. Then I dripped some wax all over to add some extra texture to the overall piece. Super easy. ANYONE could do it. While admiring it I realized that this totally counts as my spring goal to make at least 1 crafty thing. Hopefully it wont be my only crafty thing, but things are awfully busy right now and you never know. I did a fist pump and said an overdramatic "YESSSSSSS." When I realized this. I'm weird.

Also, this weekend I went vintaging at Atomic Number Ten with two cool girls. Abi, who is pretty much the only person who ever comments on my blog (and lets be honest, probably the only person who reads it besides myself.) and Kristen. It was fun. I got a skirt with snails on it. And the snails are kissing. It is way too cool for school. Too legit to quit, even. You'll get a picture when I wear it. It was our first time at A.N.T. and it was good. I'll definitely be going back to hit up that vintage dish section once we finally get a place.
I wanted to get more pictures but I was too busy filling my arms with vintage goodies to try on and trying to figure out a way to get the beard to let me blow our whole budget on cool stuff.

Address yourself with respect and wonder." (source unknown, but if you know it, let me know!)

dear self,

I'm sorry for often times making mean comments about you and telling you that you need to lose 10 pounds, or that you look like road kill when you get up in the morning. You were knit together perfectly, and you deserve for me to treat you with respect and wonder. I promise to start being nicer to you from now on.

Love, me
Matt and I have to move soon, and we've found the house we really, really, REALLY want. We walked in the door and I just felt at home. I can just picture us living life there for a long time. I can picture us starting a family there and me having a little garden and playing in the yard and making yummy meals for friends and family. But it turns out we're not the only ones who feel that way and we have some competition with another couple who saw it this morning. We find out tomorrow if we get it or not, and I have been freaking out all night. I want it so bad and I might be heartbroken if he doesn't pick us. But I've been praying through it and remembering that 1. it's just a house, it's a material thing and it will pass away. If we don't get it, we will move on and God will still provide us with shelter. and 2. God really does give us the desires of our hearts if we find our joy in Him. I've been praying really contradictory prayers. One minute I'm asking God to help me just let it go and be ok with whatever happens and the next I'm literally BEGGING for this house. I took a little break from my praying/freaking to read some blogs and I stumbled onto 2 really encouraging ones that I've never heard of before, In His Grace and Life Made Lovely. I think just reading things that woman who have put their trust in Jesus, even if they're not writing about exactly what I'm going through makes me feel encouraged and at peace. Another thing that makes me feel encouraged and at peace is this song by Brooke Fraser. It always lifts me up and reminds me of what's important. I don't even watch the video because it just distracts me from the words. I love the words, and I believe them, so I'm singing this song tonight and trusting that no matter what I find out tomorrow, I'm heard and I'm safe and taken care of. And there are bigger things in life than whether or not I get exactly what I want.
I meant to post some pics of Easter last week but alas I was too <strike>lazy</strike> busy to blog. It was a great Easter Sunday. Matt and I went to breakfast at Bluebird Restaurant in Norwood. Best biscuits and gravy. BEST. They have a glorious amount of pepper in them. They also have those little mini jukeboxes at each table and we fed it quarters and listened to awesome songs like "Purple People Eater" and the like. Don't try to tell me you don't find that song awesome. Then we went to church and enjoyed some worship. I love some good worship. Straight from church we drove to my mom's in Oxford and had dinner with the fam and a little egg hunt for the babes. I got some pics. Naturally they are pretty much only pictures of Caraline. My other niece Madi was with her mom so she couldn't come to our families dinner/egg hunt. I missed her.

Here are a couple pics from Bluebird. Do yourself a fave and go. It's on Montgomery Road in Norwood.
How freaking cute is she trying to eat that Easter egg?!?! I can't even take it. She's the cutest baby in the world right now. Rivaled only by my future baby. And that's my mama holding her. Isn't she pretty? She's pretty.
These are the flowers that are consuming my sisters front yard. Jealous.
Ok. Can we just talk for a minute about my new must have product? This toner is the shiz. I usually don't use toners because they dry me out big time and screw up my face. But I had a couple tiny little jerks hanging around on my face last week and decided I'd give it a try. It was mostly because I love rose water anything and I've heard about it's awesomeness as a skin care product. I dabbed it on the little jerks on my head and the next morning they were GONE. GOOOONE. And my skin was far from dried out. Since then I've used it if I feel like my nose is getting a little oily or if I just don't feel like washing my face at night. It is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend it. No matter what kind of skin you have!
Plus, look at that pretty bottle. Which is unbreakable, might I add. And trust me. I've tested it's breakability about 133957385 times in the past week. I got it at target but amazon has it too.

Last night we went out with new good friends and had so much fun that I only remembered to take one picture. We were going to go eat at the senate but it had an hour and 40 minute wait at 8:30 at night and we were already starving so we went to Shanghai Mama's. OMG. SO GOOD. Cincinnati has some amazing places to eat. I love this city. Best Chinese food ever. And the waitress was seriously the most amazing waitress ever. She was HILARIOUS. Abi and I may need to go there for lunch when we go on our upcoming date : )
Naturally I started the day off playing with Harlem Jones.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0MgmJJ80ryQVMPKMrwKIpP0bOVI2tXnCzjm8adp2s_jijRWAaNghKhLM2tdCe-smN9NxTP9DwfIsrcosYgxP04WwNKI8JOQv1Sdfg72poARGs5AvOixfCfNPHUcEHlgjGP-7eajhWxiM/s400/photo+%252813%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5597776193829741602" />

and then I put on my favorite lazy day skirt and went to Coffee Emporium in East Hyde Park. There's also a location downtown and that one has a really cool, urban vibe, but I think the parking cost way too much and I like how quaint and quiet the one in ehp is. When we lived in Oakley I would walk here on my days off and order a cremosa and sit and read or play on the computer. I miss it. Such a cozy little place and the vanilla cremosas are one of my favorite drinks ever. If you live in Cincinnati, GO TO COFFEE EMPORIUM AND ORDER A VANILLA CREMOSA. They are to die for delicious. YUM. After I got my drink I sat at a corner table by a window and read Alice in Wonderland. A favorite story with a favorite drink. So good.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibaSoV-LkeRfoiTzsaoPrJpUVjOq8_p8d6HJgbS9RsJA8_iXFX1vcCA3Z9QOvPHVallBuxolM2mGvZQBZxK5DFBAvEXabGlkG_UkNCQizYvEMicQ2kmoqh2fR1L60w_bIcFG2zdo5RUsk/s400/photo+%252812%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5597777381496489106" />

I've been thinking of getting my bangs cut lately. I've been kind of bored with my hair but I know I want to keep growing it. I like my curls and I want them to be long and glorious : ) I figure the best way to keep from getting bored is to play with my fringe so I decided to go to High Five today and let my cool friend Christine chop up my bangs. I hope your week was as delightful as ours was. What a great week! Lots of rainy restful days,and some gorgeous sunny ones, too. Ice cream was involved, lots of walks were involved, naps were involved, a new vintage pretty was involved, and a scrumptious niece was involved. I loved this week. I did a 5k on Saturday benefiting OASIS Cincinnati called the Aruna 5k. We raised $27.000 to help free sex slaves in India and stormed the streets of Clifton like a swarm of bees. It was chilly and rainy but it was so worth it!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkvG5XBHgltOJSo7N4bvhp-_bwjnqtK2xGVaWLNR7lQJU0quUSB03i9zu3xqvA2xOUVU6EuX9gcYQDVTbGVYo6lgLxdZqLAjQlVuzXU2DgCzQYwgSq5_yQQArzuOSQFKdoPURz11LjtVk/s400/photo+%25286%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596647734152675186" />
Waiting for us at the finish line was a goody bag full of coupons including free chipotle. It was turkey sausage pizza pockets that I got from Giada's show on the food network. I LOVE Giada. Like, head over heels. She is awesome. I watched the show and then tried to make the pizza pockets a few days later from memory, so I forgot to add a couple minor things and I made 4 pockets instead of 8. Needless to say they turned out a little doughier than intended, but they were still good! Next time I'll remember to cut the dough into 8 pieces! The arugula in them added a really nice peppery flavor, and the turkey sausage was really good. The cream/parm cheese blend was the best part. SO good. I had some of the mixture left over after I spooned it into the dough, and ate it as a dip on tortilla chips while dinner was cooking. Also yummy. I will probably make it as a dip again!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY1EvYk_DKbmW_NSI1UepAeh0Oe0EHslcKrY1XCasTDx-Pd6e1kTIk4yvBbRPvrWhqWdj27urYJWXoQvJiFhWMWxIh9hmXzZwgcgfjRChPVbbl44nYcX2_RGC_44_0_HvHWtl4RE1OjBE/s400/photo+%25282%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596650238838911922" />

While at my mom's, she gave the me the cutest little vintage pyrex bowl. I definitely recommend them!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces Italian turkey sausage
1 cup tightly-packed arugula (about 1 ounce)
4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup grated Parmesan, plus 1/4 cup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (13.5-ounce) package of store-bought pizza crust (recommended: Pillsbury)
All-purpose flour, for rolling out pizza dough
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 1/2 cups marinara sauce, store-bought or homemade
Directions
Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a medium-sized, heavy skillet. Add the sausage and cook until crumbled and golden, about 5 minutes. Add the arugula and cook until wilted. Turn off the heat and let cool about 10 minutes. Add the cream cheese, 1/3 cup Parmesan, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. Set aside.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a thin 20 by 12-inch rectangle. Cut the rectangle in half lengthwise. The cut each half into 8 equal rectangles.

Spoon topping onto 1 side of each of the rectangles. Using a pastry brush, brush the edges of the rectangle with egg wash. Close the rectangle of pizza dough over the topping. Use a fork to seal and crimp the edges. Place the pizza pockets onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Brush the top of each pizza pocket with egg wash. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan. Bake until golden, about 15 to 17 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat the marinara sauce over low heat in a medium saucepan. Serve the hot pizza pockets with the marinara sauce alongside for dipping.

We used Newman's Own marinara and private selection organic arugula and it was yumtastic. Let me know how you like it!

xoxo.Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-1042464559556644042011-04-13T17:29:00.000-07:002011-04-13T17:57:58.126-07:00Wait, I have a blog?!Sigh. I still haven't gotten the hang of posting on this thing consistently. Maybe one day, but for now, I can handle so many things at once. And let me tell you, people, I've got a few big things to handle right now : ) good things. The beard and I have some big things a brewin'. But you can't know yet! Soon though. Hopefully, VERY soon!

Anyway, this week has been an awesome week in the spring goals area of my life. I've been to VOA several times this past week and walked/jogged about 3.5 to 4 miles or so each time. Mostly just walking at a fast pace, but I'm pretty proud of myself for setting jogging goals and accomplishing them. Maybe I'll work my way back to running soon : ) The only downfall is the achy muscles. I can't wait to be over that! I've been getting more disciplined in having a quiet time, too. It's funny, I can tell a difference after only a few days of making sure I'm reading and praying consistently! I feel so much more joyous. And then my days feel off if I miss, so that's been awesome. I also got this bedding with bday money this week, and I am loving it.

On top of all that, spring has finally sprung in the buckeye state. Helloooo! So beautiful. Even when it's raining. I like the thunderstorms we get in spring time. It forces me to rest and take it easy. They're easily in my top 5 favorite bands, probably top 3, and they're show was probably the best I've been to. They are SO good. SO SO SO good. I don't think I blinked once. I was just in awe of them. Before we went to the show we went to High Five Salon in O'bryanville so Christine could trim my hair. If you live in Cincinnati or NKY, You should go to High Five. It's not your typical salon experience. I always leave that place feeling like I'm one of the best people in the world. Everyone makes you feel gorgeous and loved and comfy. And Christine can rock out some awesome haircuts. I just love her. Plus everyone who works there is like the coolest person I've ever seen. I love that place. Do yourself a fave and go to High Five and get a haircut from Christine. You won't regret it! After that we went to dinner at PF Changs. MMMMMMMM. Lettuce Wraps. Steamed Dumplings. Kung Pao Chicken. MMMMMMMMM. That's all I can say. THEN we had dessert at Aglamesis bros. We both think they're better than Graeters. They are SOOOO yummy. We used to live a block away from them in Oakley and eating there brings back lots of memories of walking home on a HOT night eating butterscotch ice cream on a sugar cone from Aglamesis. They cooled down many a brutally humid Cincinnati evening last year. After we finished our ice cream we walked across the street to the 20th Century Theater where the show was. As we're walking in, we look up and what do ya know; there walking next to us is John Paul White ( 1/2 of The Civil Wars), and he held the door open for me. And I said I was really excited to see them play. And he said thanks. Awesome. It was such a good night. We are celebrating again Sunday starting with lunch in Oxford with my mama and then dinner at Teak with some of our closest friends. I'm so excited.

Here are some pictures from last night!

<img style="display:block; This song is several years old, but I just saw the video for it a couple months ago. Is it not the sweetest video you've ever seen?!?! Swoon. I could watch it over and over. I love the concept, the tone, everything. I also want to paint my nails all different colors after seeing it on the girl in the video! Prepare to have your heart melted : )

Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-27083270837074292922011-03-26T09:18:00.000-07:002011-03-26T09:56:05.080-07:00spring goals part deuxI'm trying really hard to stick to my spring goals list. So far the things I'm doing best at are writing plans down and exercising 3 times a week. I got that little planner at Target, but then a couple weeks later I got an iphone, and I've been using the calendar on that to keep all my plans and stuff in. It's working out really well because it's always in my bag, whereas I might not always have a paper calendar with me and then forget to write stuff down. Also I think to look at my calendar on my phone everyday, whereas with the one I got from Target would sit on my dresser untouched sometimes for a couple days. It also has a little reminder alarm go off an hour or 2 before everything I schedule, so I can't forget. It's really nice. I feel a lot less scattered and unorganized now that I'm keeping my schedule.

As far as exercising, I've been mostly taking Harlem out and doing the walk/jog thing, and also I've found 2 dvd's that I really like. One is the Gaiam yoga conditioning for weight loss and the other is Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. I like the yoga one because it focuses on the health aspects of yoga and how it helps your body. I tried to do a yoga video once and the first thing they said when it got started was to invite the sprits of whatever into my soul or something. Obvi not my thing, so I promptly said "pass" and turned it off. THIS yoga video, however, is only interested in helping you get healthier and more in tune with your body, which I'm all about. She explains why certain moves are beneficial while you're doing them, which I really like. For example, I never knew that twisting your torso helped to flush toxins out of your body. I think that's pretty cool! It's challenging but relaxing at the same time. I really feel good after I finish it. The 30 day shred is HARD. Like, I thought it was highly possible that I would keel over half way through, but I like it because 1) she doesn't say stupid crap like " you look great!" When she clearly has no idea how I look because she not here to see me. She says stuff like " If you want results, you have to fight for them." and "I know you want to quit, but don't. You can do this." and "There is no shame in doing the modified version, don't hurt yourself." And TRUST me when I say, I am doing the modified version. She also breaks everything down into 30-60 second circuits, and I really like that a lot. She goes from cardio to strength to abs and back again over and over for 20 minutes, but it doesn't feel repetitive or boring. And it's REALLY challenging, but I feel good after doing it.

I also THINK I'm doing good at being encouraging and wifely to Matt, but that I can always get better at : ) I have some ideas for crafty things, so hopefully I can do some fun stuff soon. My biggest struggle has been quiet times. I schedule them in every day, but the problem is actually doing it even when I see it on my schedule. It's so easy to get distracted. But I'm working hard on it!

As far as finding specific ministries, As I've prayed about it I've realized that the one thing I've been really heartbroken over and interested in for like a year is human trafficking and modern day slavery, so I've been getting involved with organizations and activities to help fight it. I'm walking in a 5k in April where all the proceeds go toward fighting human trafficking. I'm really excited to be a part of it and to Learn other ways that I can be a part of the fight. I'm praying that God opens doors for me to be make more of a difference in the lives of enslaved women and children in the forced prostitution industry, and in the lives of forced slaves all over the world.

Hope you're having a great weekend!Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-49874474318621479812011-03-21T11:32:00.000-07:002011-03-21T12:04:48.001-07:00Weekend in PhotosThis was a fun weekend. I saw lots of people that I love and ate good food. Can't beat that! Friday night we went to a Chinese Buffet. Buffets are another thing I took a solemn vow against long ago but I've recently decided that foreign ones are less dirty and yummy, so I'm making a compromise : ) Matt loves dessert at buffets, so he got a little of everything
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0dsmopFrIqjEUpUDEAwe1wCMu8IPWG3NUTmTcJcD-_N2VJkYRUj7sFSVFBIvyX0LIdLp3B4pfMJpjI9-MFt4QsQrgJC2cMbmFnFqhLEWir4h5TAFL6tpNz0ZKCRxWeNB0HlUrPh4qlL8/s400/photo+%25285%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5586605361723045618" />

Saturday, I went to a human trafficking awareness event at my old church, Fairfield First Baptist. It was hosted by my bestie and Stop Traffick Fashion was there sellling fair trade goods. Learning about and supporting the fight against modern day slavery has become close to my heart this year, and I'm really proud of Sarah for getting it together. This church and the people in it are so special to me. I love them so much. I was so glad to spend some time with them! I'm much more interested in the fact that today was the day that I joined the iphone club. And within an hour of having it I'd already tweeted twice. This may not seem like a big deal to many of you, but about a year ago I took a firm and solemn vow not to tweet because of something about narcissism and America. I don't know. Matt even created a twitter for beardedlady and I wouldn't use it. Apparently all it takes for me to become a narcissist and start tweeting like a madman is the iphone. But what I'm really excited about is the pictures!! I always wish I'd brought a camera with me almost everywhere so that I can catch little moments and have memories, but I never really want to carry a bulky camera, and the camera on my old phone Sucked with a capitol SSSSS. So needless to say I am all over the instagram and photo apps. Tonight we did some fun stuff so I got to break myself in. The huz and I had a little date at Johnny Rockets. Gosh I love cheeseburgers. It's almost embarrassing how much I love cheeseburgers. Then we met our friends Nate and Emmy and walked from their house in Pleasant Ridge to Molly Molones... but that's it. We literally walked there, saw the amount of people and heard that is was 5 bucks just to go in, and turned around and walked back. We opted instead to have some drinks on their deck and then go to yagoot with their super awesome dog, Zach. Zach loves strawberry yagoot. I got the italian cocoa and banana flavors swirled together with some granola. YUMSVILLE!!! I didn't get a pic of that because I was too busy devouring it. Anyway, here's some pics from the evening. Hope your's was just as swell : )

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7utcOd7j6Acbrknf-b33iXybo-Fvu-kVSgay3f1UlViT-Td9LO8DFqAFSay5wpwRCH_V3J0bxKASMr7PbiuZ4WQgg0MUMi1tgJvDA8Zgw9mt-zkVFViawn0-eOgLLTazgdjeOp37uCZw/s400/photo+%25284%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585251130126273954" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYef9D_brtOiWEJCMp3dDUxfX50vP16fhYftQuQl-26Sku3-Bkup4_7TMDgc_cm6jtqn76Nl1A2X46vmaMxUXQB0P2Yr1mNYOWHSAiV6y3-kMdZhdNONpvQpu3N_vG87J7RVy7m-8-2qo/s400/photo+%25283%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585251127380671458" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS-zuRZSFctyPnlEFBMbQKv0DqhLs1qOJgfm8kTvb0cmIvHNdt4CG99fll4FfVIoL4NT3OyLdMkCmcv56I2nwMjelul-DJRkjt2hr_qQXZnrpoFTQsln4BJQ_tnVVQcvxdpXK1em8_DTQ/s400/photo+%25282%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585251121267323714" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlrj1pOPB2NkbRBi0hhgBhuBGaU1uZAzVCH_n2BEJqPfo_nEkfM7OoOtBDKb5USVOhhruyMZidcmlSjot8LG-5NFAaDrbCZCtYqOSFltZaJlDWP8hR9YDOPVg5YHeZEcFYZLK56mQ-Iu0/s400/photo+%25281%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585251118356615266" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaMXsIyKfEWsbB9YLZwDVcYwE-jt_SQYosv7TzriWGX0nUgSIa25Dddcy5AC_U6L9o3sGP2Y9GqumUeDXSr95RPx1g3MceaLnb5MWzqhd6CX_T1_1hsTlOwNkg6xuqkD3_UqjCGcs6o44/s400/photo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585251112777732418" />

xoxoMatt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-87056546586422332012011-03-16T19:44:00.001-07:002011-03-16T19:47:56.304-07:00A Wednesday.Tonight we are doing pretty much nothing except what this picture would suggest...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIP86priANzLJ-bFQDwPLC5Vk7HOnzt11ptNYWuknIOVn8PlMN-TRey-gkhN1NheUPeJPLmoaKnGTXHj65H9TiEeNISibfDAPS4SIjnSOpRXVYmq-7nkhgfJp2c5Q-yhWpPO_Q9jb-qRI/s400/Photo+on+2011-03-16+at+22.43.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584874588984441794" />

except for I am also looking for pretty iphone cases, because mama's gettin' an iphone 4 tomorrow. Awesome interview. I adore Promise Tangeman. She is SOOOO inspiring to me. Everything she does is super. I love the points she makes about creativity and the church. I think she hit the nail on the head!! I'm also at this moment obsessing over simplygrove.com, which she recommends in the interview. You should hop on over to Siren's website and read the interview! It's pretty neato! If you want to go straight to the interview, click here.Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-30870453354549233332011-03-14T21:57:00.001-07:002011-03-14T21:58:16.989-07:00Stolen thunder...Lanna took my video. This band is so good. Hubby's band, The Waking Point, got to open for them on Saturday in Louisville. I didn't get to go but I've watched the video about a hundred times. I am LOVING this song. The lyrics are incredible. I'm looking forward to hearing more from Mike Mains and the Branches because they are FANTASTIC. Wouldn't you agree??

Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-1413527084939534832011-03-13T12:32:00.000-07:002011-03-13T12:46:44.905-07:00sickers.Uggggghhhhh.

That describes how I feel about life right now.

Being a nanny often times means you catch bugs. No matter how hard you try to wash your hands, it's gonna happen. I had a feeling my time was coming, and it came. One of the boys had a bad stomach virus on Thursday, and I started feeling it around 8 Friday night. And let me tell ya, yesterday was NOT a good day.

The only thing good about me getting sick is that I eat 15 fla-vor-ice in a day and no one cares.

If you don't know what a fla-vor-ice is, I feel very sorry for you.

Anyway, today around noon I think to myself, "maybe I should try to eat something more substantial than a fla-vor-ice." So logically the best thing for me to eat is a hot dog.

Really, self? A hot dog?

Not my best choice in life. So I'm about half way through said hot dog, and I realize it was a bad choice. So I put it down and when I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna vom all over I go get another fla-vor-ice. And when I return? The hot dog is gone. GONE. Harlem Jones strikes! She waited til I walked out, grabbed the hot dog, and then curled back up on the couch and pretended to innocently be taking a nap. Then about 10 minutes later I leave the room again, and come back in to find her licking the plate! Returning to the scene of the crime?! Poor form, Jones, poor form.

Now, I'm off to go lay in bed and whimper til the mister comes home.
Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-4168693183264400612011-03-08T21:14:00.000-08:002011-03-08T21:17:07.252-08:00Professional Dreamer...Most days i wake up and wish this was my office.

-Matt
Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4705807984592761164.post-25499566088714506102011-03-08T16:26:00.000-08:002011-03-08T16:51:13.343-08:00Spring GoalsI decided today that it would be fun/challenging to make a short list of goals for the spring, and then continue to build on them or make new goals at the beginning of each season. I've had a lot of stuff going on in my mind lately as far as things I want to do/get better at, and I think writing them down and making them semi-public to the 3 people that actually read my blog would help me stay accountable! So I wrote my little list down in my journal and now I'm going to post it, too. If you want, you should make some goals and tell me so I can see them on your blog! We could have a little spring goals blog party! Yeah!

OOOOOOK.

Anyway, here's the list of my goals... they're in no particular order.

1. exercise at least 3 times a week. Either jogging, yoga, pilates, or something like it. Going on walks doesn't count because I could go on walks all day long. I want to take care of my body...it's the only one God gave me! I used to work out as sort of an act of worship...it was my way of acknowledging that God created my body and wants me to take care of it as a holy vessel. I used to be a little cheesier than I am now : ) but I still feel that way about our bodies and I want to take care of the one I've been given!

2. Be more diligent in planning and DOING my quiet time. I used to make sure I had a quiet time every day to read my bible, pray, journal, or just be in God's presence. I also used to be a youth leader so it was easier for me since I knew I was teaching/modeling it for the youth. I need to get better about doing that again. I've slacked big time since I stopped leading and I definitely feel it!

3. Get better at writing down plans when I make them and keeping a schedule. I bought a super cute planner at Target for half price on Sunday. I'm really pumped : ) My BFF can tell you that I often times forget plans and double book myself. I don't like that about myself, so the easiest way to change it is to WRITE IT DOWN and keep my planner with me. I'm hoping it'll also help me stay accountable to my quiet times.

4. Promote and do senior pictures. This would have to involve getting a better camera. And by better I mean getting A camera. The one I've been using is my friends, and she needs it back since her super awesome one is at the doctor; and I really don't like taking it from her anyway. So I'm hoping I'm provided with a really awesome canon : )

5. Make at least 3 crafty things. Duh.

6. Pray about and pursue specific ministries to be a part of. I want to choose 1-3 specific ministries that I can be a part of in a way more than just money. I typically want to be a part of everything I see/hear about and end up doing nothing, so I need to narrow it down and actually do it!

7. Be as encouraging and helpful as possible to Matt. I want to be the best I can be for him. He's working really hard to provide for us and I want to be a soft place for him to land at the end of the day!

So those are my spring goals. What are yours?!!

xoxo.Matt & Lannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04359770465821750494noreply@blogger.com1
